Manchester is Britain’s fastest-growing cyber ecosystem, ranking within the top 20 European ‘Digital Cities’.
Headed by Barclays, Eagle Labs – the £10m Digital Security Innovation Hub or DiSH is now officially open in Heron House, Albert Sq, Manchester, alongside GCHQ. We attended the opening and were especially impressed by the facility and their vision. The hub aims to advance the city to the forefront of managing digital threats by rousing collaboration between capable organisations and individuals.
Some things you can expect the hub to facilitate:
- The development and commercialisation of new products and services.
- An accelerator hub and programs to assist and scale new businesses.
- Training and events that address trends and emerging issues in the digital security space.
- Promotion, development, and diversification of the sector.
DiSH seeks to incorporate a range of disciplines, including areas with great potential, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. We are well-aligned to this initiative through our subsidiaries, Cyber Defence Service and Overt AI – a real-time and recorded radio frequency analysis device and software that leverages machine learning.
We anticipate DiSH to be a fruitful venture and intend on being highly engaged.
