British Salt are the UK’s leading manufacturer of high purity salt products that produce over 800,000 tonnes of salt every year. British Salt’s old website was extremely old and out-dated, and so; they approached us with an idea to renovate their entire corporate and sub-branding websites. From the initial design meetings, it became clear they needed a website that was not only built to a professional standard, but that looked both modern and sleek; whilst also giving them the ability to add and edit content whenever needed.
Loaded with this information the team sat down and planned out how this project was going to be built from start to finish; and after careful consideration it was clear that WordPress would be the best fit for this project.
WordPress is a very user-friendly Content Management System; and bundled with the Visual Composer plugin, it gives the end user the ability to drag and drop content onto any page – allowing us to tick off this requirement set by the client.
Development began on the WordPress website with a completely unique and bespoke theme; ensuring we kept to our high standards by using the most up-to-date technology and resources, whilst also ensuring that the website was 100% accessible and adhered to all current web standards set forth by W3C.
