Founded by Ian Strachan and Peter Davies after meeting and studying at Salford University.
Fast forward in time and Juicy Media became a Limited company on the 20th of July 2005.
Juicy Media moved into its first premises in the summer, located at Myerscough and taking on their first employees.
Juicy then moved into the newly built UCLan Media Factory and was accepted onto the successful enterprise known as Northern Lights. Juicy Media made use of their largest available space and employed local UCLan graduates to join the team.
Juicy moved into a larger premises, based at Preston Docklands. By the end of the year Juicy Media had positioned itself as the leader in open source technologies and increased the portfolio to over 100 clients.
Saw Juicy grow to fifteen members of staff, and increased turnover by 33%. With nominations for various prestigious awards we continued to instil confidence with our clients and to grow the business.
Saw even further growth for the team, now seventeen members, more clients and more pressure to deliver award winning results.
Successfully pitched and won more major contracts. Allowing Juicy to extend its portfolio even further. Also a highlight of the year was being nominated and being the runner up of two prestigious awards.
The pitch and win of our biggest web contract yet, successfully supported and delivered within the outlined SLA.
The consolidation of our primary server architecture from Telicity to an openstack cloud based system allowed us to provide additional hosting capacity and higher service levels.
Another office move, our ten year anniversary, and dawn of a new way of working remotely brought further expansion into the newly developed building at MediaCityUK. With continual growth we hope the next ten years are just as bright.
Another exciting year with wins of two major projects for Playtech and Glancy Fawcett. With new innovations and working alongside “The Landing” to create a health care market product to help the sufferers of dementia. Successfully partnered on the Government Digital Outcomes and Specialists 2 Framework (DOS2).
Established ourselves within MediaCityUK and working with more local organisations such as Salford Citizens Advice and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust on multiple projects. More innovations and exciting projects based on iBeacon technology , VR and Augmented reality. Successfully partnered on the Government Cloud 9 Framework Partner (G-Cloud 9).
