Established in 1963, Kane design and manufacture portable test and measurement equipment in the UK including Combustible Gas Detectors, Flue Gas Analysers, Combustion Meters, Automotive emissions analysers to Class 1 OIML.
problem
Kane maintained an extensive static HTML web site but had found this an increasing burden; they also needed a Support web site providing downloads, technical literature, help and manuals, and a fast response ticketing system for registered client questions.
solution
Juicy Media built a Joomla! CMS site which reflected the design and style of Kane; incorporating product pages, FAQ’s, customer surveys, and Distributor Listings, plus much more. Juicy Media also configured a Ticketing Response system, with downloads, knowledge-base, and in-depth client-support capabilities. This secondary site was constructed to allow sub-branding for Kane’s primary customers.
Juicy Media provided several training packages for site maintenance.
outcome
Kane have maintained these sites to a high level, requiring only occasional support or training extension. Kane have expanded their requirements for Juicy Media Services and we now support the internal database server for their Service Maintenance division, and are now considering an upgrade to Joomla! 1.5x with added features.
